The project titled “TRUST-ification and FAIR-ification of an open repository for research instruments in psychology: REPOPSI’s adoption of RDA outputs” aimed to improve REPOPSI, the repository of Open-Access psychological instruments in Serbian established by the LIRA Lab in 2020.
REPOPSI was created to allow everyone to freely access and share Open-Access psychological scales, tests, and other research instruments translated into Serbian or developed by Serbian scientists. Building on this Open Science mission, the project focused on developing new REPOPSI’s technologies, including a more user-focused website, an interactive search application, and an online form for submitting new instruments and translations.
The project also focused on improving the degree to which REPOPSI adheres to the FAIR principles (Findability, Accessibility, Interoperability, Reusability) through, for example, the application of a controlled metadata vocabulary.
Project outputs and the repository itself were promoted through various channels, including conferences, webinars, and social media. You can read more about these activities at https://www.repopsi.f.bg.ac.rs/en/repopsi-project/ (WP2 subheading).
To increase the number of REPOPSI records, three psychology master’s students were trained to search the “E-theses“ system and document instruments available in the doctoral theses in psychology. REPOPSI currently contains 233 instrument records; out of those, 121 are available in both Serbian and English.
