The collection Philosophy, Cognition, and Archaeology, edited by Janko Nešić, a research fellow at the Institute of Social Sciences in Belgrade, and Vanja Subotić, a research fellow at the Institute of Philosophy at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Belgrade, represents the latest outcome of the completed project Sciences of the Origin, funded by the Templeton Foundation and the Ian Ramsey Centre at the University of Oxford.

The collection contains eight peer-reviewed papers on topics from the interdisciplinary field of cognitive archaeology, authored by philosophers, archaeologists, art historians, psychologists, and psychiatrists. The reviewers of the collection as a whole were Anton Killin, a leading expert in the field from Bielefeld University; Arthur Ribeiro, an archaeologist from Kiel University; and philosophers Jelena Pavličić and Olga Nikolić from the University of Belgrade.
